Founded in 2017, Gears Transmission began with a simple goal: provide honest answers, quality workmanship, and repairs people can trust. What started in a small home garage has grown into one of the region’s largest independent transmission and drivetrain repair facilities, serving drivers throughout Chattanooga, North Georgia, and beyond.
Through that growth, our commitment has remained the same. We believe in diagnosing the problem correctly, explaining your options clearly, and standing behind the work we do. At Gears Transmission, we’ve built our shop around doing more under one roof. Our facility is equipped for in-house transmission rebuilding, drivetrain repair, machining, parts, diagnostics, and quality control, giving our team greater control over the repair process from start to finish.
Instead of simply replacing components whenever there’s a problem, we focus on understanding why the failure happened and determining the right repair for the vehicle. Every job is approached with attention to detail, proven procedures, and a commitment to workmanship we’re proud to put our name behind.

Today, our 30,000-square-foot facility gives our team the space and resources to handle everything from diagnostics and general drivetrain repair to in-house transmission rebuilding, machining, parts, and quality control.
Keeping these critical processes under one roof gives us greater control from diagnosis to final inspection. Our facility was built around one goal: giving our technicians the tools they need to do the job right and giving our customers confidence in the work behind their repair.
